ParkingLot is a mobile application that allows users to save links, products, recipes, and other content from around the web for later reference. ParkingLot is operated as an independent application ("we," "us," or "our").

Information you provide directly:
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you use the Park It feature, we store the URLs, titles, prices, tags, notes, and other metadata you save. When you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in that communication.
Information collected automatically:
We collect basic usage analytics to improve the app — things like which features are used most often, crash reports, and app performance data. This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not track individual user behavior for advertising purposes.
Information we do NOT collect:
We do not collect your precise location. We do not access your contacts, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature. We do not collect the full content of web pages you visit — only the metadata of pages you choose to save.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve ParkingLot, specifically to save and retrieve your parked items, provide search functionality across your saved content, send price drop notifications for items you choose to track, send transactional emails such as account confirmations and password resets, and respond to your support requests.
We do not use your information to show you advertisements. We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your saved items to train machine learning models.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the app — such as cloud hosting providers and analytics services — under strict confidentiality agreements. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us.
We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
When you enable price tracking for a saved item, ParkingLot periodically fetches the public web page of that item to check for price changes. We store the price history for items you track. You can disable price tracking for any item at any time. Disabling price tracking deletes the stored price history for that item.
Access and portability: You can export all your parked items at any time from the My Permit screen in the app.
Deletion: You can delete individual items, entire levels, or your entire account from within the app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our systems within 30 days.
Correction: You can edit notes, tags, and other metadata on any saved item directly in the app.
Opt-out of analytics: You can opt out of analytics data collection in the app settings.
ParkingLot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of ParkingLot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data.
